This is Loveshot, and they want a dirty love revolution.
Hailing from Toronto, Loveshot plays a grungy feeling brand of dance-rock, not unlike Scissor Sisters, or especially Semi-Precious Weapons. It’s music meant for dark, tight packed clubs full of pulsating half-naked bodies. The guitars are pure distortion and the drums pound out simple dance beats. There’s a little synth for good measure, and fun dual male-female vocals. Lyrically, Loveshot matches their music’s grit with songs about dirty dancing and sex. It’s all good fun, and I can imagine they put on a hell of a live show.
