This is my love letter to all the queer musicians out there, making art and kicking ass. If there's an artist you think I should know about, please let me know, I love new music! (I also reblog/post on general queer and trans stuff, radical news, and instances when the world is fucked, and when it isn't!)

Abby Brown is singer songwriter based out of Boston, and if you’re a fan of Melissa Ferrick, Brandi Carlile, or Rachel Cantu, you’ll probably pick up what she’s putting down.
She released her first EP, “Go All In,” last week. Its six tracks are all based around Brown’s fingerpicking style, filled out with a full band, but honestly, it’s unnecessary. She has a lovely, gentle playing style that perfectly compliments her songs about the various stages of love. Her voice is sweet, but with a bit of rasp that lends depth and emotion to her tunes. At points she reminds me of The History, and I still listen to their first album on the regular, so take from that what you will. Pretty much, she’s not breaking any molds, but what she’s doing, she’s doing really well, and that’s pretty awesome.
